The instrument has been pre-configured to accept a wide range of additional accessories such as large capacity autosampler, separate sample excitation accessory, laser ablation accessory or additional gas accessory.
With a traditional ICP instrument design, spectrometer functions are carried out in a sequential fashion adding to the overall analysis time and reducing sample throughput.
The iCAP 6500 includes an intelligent operation mode which groups functions together to minimize overhead time and increase the speed of analysis. This results in a typical saving of 15% fr an analysis where both axial and radial measurements are being made.
