MISTAKES AND COMPLICATIONS IN ENDODONTIC DENTISTRY

A 54 year old man asked the clinic of a therapeutic stomatology for help, seeking medical care for pain in 13th tooth that occurs while biting. From medical history, it’s known that the patient treated acute purulent periodontitis 1.5 years ago. An objective examination revealed: percussion is positive, sounding - negative,13th tooth is slightly loose. In order to obtain a more exact diagnosis, the patient is proposed to make a radiography of jaws.

The dental X-Ray diagnosedsignificant root canal sealer extrusion over the root apex in the periapical space periodontal slit extended in the apex, periodontal fissureis dilated in area of root apex.

For the treatment of clinical case, the patient is offered a removal of the13th tooth with subsequent prosthetics.

This clinical case is a typical representative of wrong orthodontic treatment.
